I broke it

Well, now it's time to file the tax refund for sure. As if the prospect of getting a huge lump sum of money in the mail wasn't motivation enough -- I dropped my personal CD player on the floor, a whopping 3 feet, and it is now unusable. It was a Philips model "Jogproof". The funny thing is -- or not so funny -- I got this particular model because a friend of mine was in a collision with a car while using hers, and hers got knocked 50 feet out of her hands, and worked fine afterwards!!!

So apparently, it's great if you're in a car accident, not so great for plain stupidity.

Oh well. I didn't really like it all that much anyway. I never really got used to the ergonomics of the button layout, and I felt the latch-release was too easily bumped open if I wore it on my belt while going out for a walk/jog. So phooey. I'm getting new running shoes *and* a new Walkman!

Y'know, in all honesty, it might be that the batteries are dead, now that I think about it. I think I should try that before throwing it in the garbage.
