Very, very sad day

Another history-making day, but not the kind of history any of us want to be a part of; another terrorist attack, this time on London. News reports said this is the first time London's been attacked since World War II.

I think now is a good time to remember that, the only way to REALLY stop the senseless killings is to set aside our differences and work for peace. That's all. Working in the news business I hear about senseless killings every day, so when I hear about something like what happened in London today, Madrid, what was that a year ago? Two years ago? Not to mention the daily death toll coming out of Iraq and Afghanistan, and not to mention 9/11 ... it isn't the Democrats' responsibility, it isn't the Republicans' responsibility, it isn't a white thing, black thing, young thing, old thing, it's got nothing to do with religion, it is everybody's responsibility. It makes me wonder, what the hell is it going to take to get everybody on the same page??? As long as we are divided, the terrorists win. Period. As long as we bicker and argue amongst ourselves we've taken our eyes off the goal of living peacefully with each other.

Let there be peace on earth ... and let it begin with me.

Now then, folks, repeat after me:

Dear Great Britain:

We send our thoughts and prayers to you, in your time of great loss. We are deeply sorry for this terrible act you had to suffer and we stand by your side in your grief, and we will help you in any way we can, and we want to bring healing to you in any way we can. Please let us know how we can help.
