Where you feel like you're at the mercy of everything in the solar system that has gravitational pull, and it all adds up to feeling like you're being pulled in 900 directions at once. Not to mention the fact I have been experiencing this weird, Twilight-Zone feeling; I began to get ready to return the rental car at a little after 1 o'clock this afternoon. Two hours later, I'm getting off the bus and walking into work. I made NO stops between my place and the rental car place, except to re-fill the tank, and I did that and got a money order. I didn't shop for snacks, I didn't browse the magazines.
Not only that but I swear I made 92 attempts to actually leave my apartment today. The first attempt, I knocked over my half-filled coffee mug off the counter and needless to say, that created a Royal Mess I had to clean up. Nevermind the fact that I don't have ANY TIME TO DO ANYTHING LET ALONE CLEAN UP STUPID MESSES. Then, I got all the way down to the car and realized I had no vision: I left my glasses on the kitchen table, and I forgot to put my contacts in, and I had no sunglasses. After sitting there in disbelief for a few seconds I got up, ran back upstairs, and figured since I went to all that trouble I would put my contacts in. Then I left *again*, got all the way down to the car again, and realized I forgot my sunglasses, and it's hazy bright out so I had no choice but to go get them.
By the time I got into my car a THIRD TIME I was ready to strangle someone, as you can imagine.
And now this journal entry has turned into a bitch session. Actually, the main reason I'm even writing about this is so, if you, dear reader, are having a bad day, you can feel less alone. If you're NOT having a bad day, then you can have a good laugh at how assinine I'm being.
I'm watching a soundbite of Queen Elizabeth of England. You hardly ever see her up close like she was at the press conference today. It's always fascinating to me to see how royalty behaves. They really do have a particular air about them that most of the rest of us don't possess, and the air she carries with her is curiously magnetic, and dare I say soothing. I have no idea what she was saying because there was no sound. She was only a talking head on the monitor in front of me, but it was interesting even with no sound.
I've just changed the title of this entry 3 times. And I still don't like it!
