I think it's interesting, the reaction to the new Supreme Court nominee, John Roberts. "We're lucky to have a man of such wisdom and intellectual strength willing to serve our country," President Bush told the Senate today.
"He is a gem. This man has the credentials that every lawyer on the planet only dreams of having," said Jan LaRue of Concerned Women for America.
I myself have noticed that he does indeed seem to find favor on both sides of American politics, although liberals (read: Democrats) are hesitant to throw the kind of support behind him that conservatives are, which tells me a lot about this guy already. So we shall see. I can't say I've ever paid that much attention to Supreme Court Justices, but this is history in the making so maybe I'll start paying more attention.
Can I just say I am FUCKING SICK AND TIRED of hearing story after story of wee, small, innocent children getting killed, molested, or otherwise treated in ways human beings SHOULD NOT be treated, let alone wee, small, innocent children. What is wrong with you sick people?!?!?!????? It makes me angry and sad. Very, very sad. I just don't understand it, and I hope I never do.
