So -

I'm done being sick now - for the most part. I had evil stomach virus last week, knocked me down for 2.5 days. And it was nasty. Horrible. Yuck. I'm so glad that's over with.

However, it made me much more anxious over thinking about what if my mother all alone in sub-zero freezing cold Toledo was sick like I was. What, is my 8-year-old nephew going to take care of her? He might, but that's so wrong! So on top of feeling sick I also felt guilty.

Then on top of THAT, I think being sick somehow agitated the healing process from the miscarriage and not only did I start bleeding again - heavily - I also had cramps as well. Cramps bad enough to warrant taking pain killer for it. Yeah, not a good weekend-slash-Monday.

Found out today that our only car has a cracked engine block. So we are back to having no car. Again. Still live in far away Cape Coral. Sucks. A lot.

I also stepped in poop last night while out walking Sattva. So much for the flashlight.

Besides that, I finally got Ray's review done - HOORAY!!!! And there was much rejoicing.

I was excited about discovering Facebook today. I'd always been curious about it but never bothered to check it out before today. I'd gotten an invitation in the mail from another friend of mine, so I decided to check it out. Well, I love it! I can't wait to upload some pictures to it, that will be awesome.

Eep, are you feeling better now, though?

I know, Facebook is so amazing, isn't it? And somehow it seems all the more inviting when you have loads of stuff to do. :D

My husband has accused me of being 'addicted' to Facebook - LOL! Unfortunately he's right! I just like it sooooo much better than Myspace. Myspace, although it keeps me in touch with friends who are far away back home, is like a tabloid magazine, whereas Facebook is more like Real Simple or a high school yearbook. (LiveJournal is like a good novel. :) ) What sold me on FB is how it asked me for a "previous" name, so that friends I've lost touch with who might not know I'm married now will be able to find me. I also like how it's private to non-FBers - this forces would-be predators to make the effort to create a profile, which turns most would-be predators off. I dunno, FB just feels so much more well-rounded to me.

Yes, I'm finally feeling better now, thank you for asking. :)

Btw, you should check out the StyleFeed application, if you haven't already. If you have even the slightest tendency toward fashion, if you even remotely enjoy shopping in the least, you might enjoy it. You can create a profile, 'watch' other users whose taste you like, import the Amazon.com wishlist ... to me it's like a virtual shopping trip with the girls, lol! However be forewarned, downloading it adds a couple of (so far) harmless buttons to your browser window, but so far I've found them to be quite handy. One of the buttons lets you take a snapshot of whatever you're looking at, like a bookmark (you get to choose which picture it will capture), and then adds it to the StyleFeed widget that shows up on your FB profile (or anywhere else you care to put it). The other button pops up a very handy sidebar on the left of your browser window that essentially lets you navigate your StyleFeed simultaneously with any other website you're surfing.

It's just as addictive as FB but at the same time it does perform a function: if you shop online and you come across something you can't afford but want to buy somewhere down the line, you can bookmark it and keep all your bookmarks in a nice handy little collection! Imagine how handy that will come in for your birthday! Okay so it's a year away ... imagine what a list you can build up by then! :))

Oooh, I love shopping! And I love fashion! (I think they go hand-in-hand :P ) I will definitely check that application out. I don't shop online much, to be honest. Because I do like a lot of stuff I see out there, but to get delivered to India, S&H charges eclipse the actual cost, lol. I can't believe FB didn't have applications until less than a year ago, hehe, I was on it then, but now I can't imagine it without them!

And I liked your analogy about how it's like a high school yearbook. I think that was the intention. And LJ DEFINITELY is like a good novel. The kind you can curl up with on a rainy day. :)
