Requiem for a Dream

So I finally saw Darren Aronofsky's Requiem for a Dream. I'm glad I watched it now when I'm more settled down and secure, because otherwise I would have been miserably offended by it. It was a great movie! To me it was not only a great story about 4 people and their addictions it was a Public Service Announcement against drug use! It was fabulous. Maybe that was Mr. Aronofsky's intent was to make it a PSA. In any event, I really enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is open-minded, and especially to anyone with a drug problem.

In other news, I have confession to make: I have done no work on my movie since returning from South Carolina. Part of the reason I wanted to watch another Aronofsky film was to get psyched again about it. Although it's not that I'm not psyched about it; it's just that I'm afraid of how much time it will take away from my other cherished activities. Like LJ, for instance. It's amazing how much more interesting LJ is to me now that I've got a permanent account.

Anyway, time's a-wastin'. I need to get crack-a-lackin on my movie. I need to not give up until it's premiere in Toledo, Ohio and other select cities across the nation, starring Hugh Jackman ... or maybe Rachel Weisz ... or maybe Jennifer Connelly, because my husband had a crush on her for a long time and he would love to meet her, and I love him so much I would do that for him. *grins* Plus, I know she'd be perfect for the lead role. :)
